How I came up with the design of my poster was by showing some main things of me growing up. For example, I have my middle school logo as my background with Moanalua, high school, logo in front of it. It shows that I've grown up by going into high school, which means a new school for me. Also, I have my middle school basketball team and high school basketball team because it shows that I had get used to not being at the top of the team, since my middle school didn't have such a great team. Then, I have my eight grade class picture and a meneMAC picture showing how I had to make new friends since I wasn't going to the same school as them. Lastly, I have the biggest that shows how I have to grow up is responsibilities. Now that I am older, I have bigger responsibilities and helping out more around the house.

Nice poster Samara. It definitely highlights certain areas in your life that you feel are part of growing up. For example, you have "New Friends", and you have a picture below it of the new friends you've made. But when I first looked at it, it looked sort of cluttered. All the pictures that you have have really low opacity, and I think at least 2 of them need to be clearly seen.
ReplyDeleteHi Samara,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed looking at your poster. I would like to see your description of how you designed and created it.
I agree with Jonas about trying to improve the layout a bit and about the opacity (but what you choose to highlight should be significant). I also think that having the "chores" part in a really different, cartoony style weakens the unity of the overall piece. It seems as if that is the most important, and I don't think you mean that. In addition, the blending of clip art and photos doesn't really work...since most are photos, this one should be consistent.
